Small oak barrels are perfect for folks who want to try out the different aging processes and aging of different spirits using oak kegs. They are medium Charred or Toasted, and barrels up to 10 liter size come complete with a stand, a spigot and a bung. For clients who want to safe the originaly taste and color of their own spirits, the barrels can be coated with paraffin from inner side. The small size barrels will age 5 to 10 times faster then your standard 200 liters barrel.
When storing your barrel between uses, always keep the barrel filled with a sterilized water solution. This will keep the barrel from drying out and keep bacteria from growing in the barrel. 1/2 years in a full size barrel. NOTE: Understand that fluctuations in temperature and relative humidity will cause the barrel to take on or lose moisture and the timber will expand or shrink accordingly. As a result, your barrel may show small gaps or have loosened hoops at arrival. Don’t worry, that’s all to be expected and will disappear after curing.
